About The Lecturer
Anjana Vishvanath is a Mechatronics and Automation Engineer with over eight years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial control systems. Anjana specializes in bridging the gap between traditional industrial hardware and modern Industry 4.0 solutions.
His professional journey includes significant roles at Ceylon Cold Stores and Divor Automations (Pvt) Ltd, where he managed large-scale chilling systems, pneumatic lines, and custom embedded hardware for the textile industry. Anjana’s technical expertise spans a wide array of industrial technologies, including:
PLC Programming & Motion Control: Advanced logic development using IEC 61131-3 standards (Siemens/Schneider) and register-style programming (Xinje).
Anjana is deeply committed to technical education and has a proven track record of conducting high-impact workshops for both undergraduates and technical staff at organizations such as Omega Line Ltd and CINEC Campus. He is currently reading for his MSc in Information Technology at the University of Colombo School of Computing, focusing on the integration of time-series databases and predictive maintenance algorithms into industrial environments.
